The new gnomes of Zurich

Jehovah's witnesses,

the Spiess case and manipulation by anti-cult

and russian propaganda

The controversial 2019 decision of the Zurich District Court, which an antisect activist, Regina Spiess, was acquitted of defamation charges against Swiss Jehovah's Witnesses, has been widely used for an international propaganda campain against Jehovah's Witnesses by anti-sects groups and Russian government.

The central theme of that campaign was the procedure used by Jehovah's Witnesses to exclude ex-members, the ostracism of these excluded ex-members and the treatment of cases of sexual abuse within the congregation.
